PinnacleHealth offers patients with spine and back conditions  a full range of treatment options including physical therapy and pain management.

Physical Therapy:

Outpatient Physical Therapy - Outpatient rehabilitation begins with an evaluation by licensed physical therapists who develop a treatment plan and specific goals for you. You and the therapists work to improve circulation, strength, coordination, endurance and range of motion while trying to relieve pain, correct deformities and learn proper posture and body mechanics.

The McKenzie Method for Neck and Low Back Pain- Find relief from your neck and low back pain with the proven McKenzie Method of evaluation and treatment. PinnacleHealth has two of less than 30 Certified McKenzie Clinics in the United States.

Pain Management:

Chronic Pain Management Program - Chronic pain management rehabilitation treats individuals who experience chronic and/or persistent pain that has not been resolved through traditional treatments. This program teaches you to control or decrease your pain while improving your daily function in a supportive and caring environment. Secondary goals include return to work and social activities which have been limited by pain.

The Pain Management Center - We understand each person responds to pain differently and we are committed to helping our patients find the relief they need to resume their normal lifestyle and function. Our Medical Director, Jean L. Santo, MD, has more  than 20 years of experience in Pain Management and leads the Pain Management Staff.

Alternative Medicine - Pinnacle Health offers patients a number of alternative approaches to back and spine treatment.

Physiatry - Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)  is a branch of medicine which aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrists specialize in restoring function to people with injuries to the muscles, bones, tissues and nervous system. Physiatrists provide many medical services, such as medications, physical training with therapeutic exercise, movement and activities modification, adaptive equipments and assistive devices, orthotics (braces) and prosthesis training, but they do not perform surgery.
