The Nurse Care Coordinator or volunteer will meet you in the lobby at the start time listed (10am or 3pm) and will escort you to the class.

Please bring:

• A family member who will be able to care for you when you go home
• Your guidebook

What to Expect

The Nurse Care Coordinator will be discussing how to prepare yourself and your home, the role of your caregiver, pain management, and how to prevent complications. We will also answer any questions you may have, and try to help relieve any fears or anxieties you have about the surgery. A Physical or Occupational therapist will also be present to discuss exercises, body mechanics and spine precautions for after your surgery.

All of this great information should help to improve your outcome, because it will make you so well prepared.
